Why in the world would you need a website that grabs links from other websites, you ask?
Well, there are some situations in which such a function is really very useful. For example, let’s say you’re a big music fan and you’re following several music-related blogs that offer music files to download, and all of these download links are to separate .mp3 files.
Link Leecher gives you the ability to access the page and filter it to show just .mp3 links. The filtered list of links is then exportable in several file formats, such as a text file, a comma separated values file, or even as a newsfeed which you can subscribe to, to keep track of changes to the links via any kind of newsreader application you might like to use.
Another example: let’s say there’s a web page containing a bunch of .PDF files, and you want to download them all. Simply enter the URL into Link Leecher, and it’ll give you the list of .PDF links in a jiffy.
The best use of Link Leecher we’ve found so far is the combined use of the FlashGet download manager and Link Leecher’s text lists of URLS. The download URLs listed in a Link Leecher-created text file can be instantly imported into FlashGet, which makes download a lot of files quick and very easy.
