Entertainment shopping sites: A Test
April 9, 2009 6:02 am ReferenceSo, I wanted to know just how well a strategy would work with Entertainment shopping sites. I set out with the following strategy in mind after taking 2 weeks trackign data on a playstation 3 system on Swoopo. What the strategy was was to only bid on Playstation 3′s when the bid price was at 20% higher then the average sell price. The average sell price was $155, so I only began to bid when it goto up to $187. What the strategy proved was that it actually did work. Overall I won each auction with an average of 41 bids costing $30.75 at Swoopo. I won each auction for $204 on average. That means a total output of $234.75 on a $400 system. Not bad at all. I just resold them all on ebay.
