mortgage concerns

Our daughter saw us last week and told us about her neighbors and how upset she has been since hearing the news. With my heart in my throat, I hesitantly asked her what the matter was, fearing to hear some dreadful health problem, or a theft or fire. Then she told me that her neighbors had refinanced about 9 months ago for the 3rd time, and that the bank had brought about a mortgage foreclosure. Our daughter felt so afraid for her neighbors, and spent a week of sleepless nights hoping they would go to experts to help them with money management and a way to contract with the lenders to reduce their payments or extend the length of the loan. I was so proud of our daughter for her fiscally responsible approach.
