Understanding Diabetes During Pregnancy

It is therefore necessary to have prenatal care during pregnancy. The hormones produced by the placenta during pregnancy could interfere with the other hormones in the body which could lead to diabetes during pregnancy. This usually happens when the pancreas stop producing insulin. Examining the blood glucose level of the pregnant woman will determine if she has diabetes or not. Diabetes is usually a heredity illness so women with a family history of diabetes may have higher chances of developing diabetes during pregnancy.
