My husband of ten years surprised me with a second honeymoon to Sedona, Arizona last month for our anniversary. He knew that I always wanted to go there to see their famous red rock formations. We also planned to head up to the Grand Canyon while we were there since it wouldn’t be that far away. He booked our room at one of the most beautiful and exclusive sedona resort spa locations in the area. It was probably the nicest resort that I have ever been to in my life. The room was lovely and the food that their restaurant served was to die for.

Our holiday in Taupo was unforgettable. The boys were up and fishing in Taupo Lake bright and early in an attempt to experience the magnificent trout fishing that calls so many tourists to Lake Taupo every year. While the girls and I enjoyed our pick of the many Taupo Hotels available in Taupo, by staying in for a delicious buffet breakfast. Once our belly’s had settled, we went for a stroll along the stunning, sandy shores of Lake Taupo, then put on our walking shoes and took the challenge of a day bush walk through beautiful Tongariro National Park. By the end of the day there was nothing more rewarding to do then sit down as a family at a beautiful Taupo restaurant and reminisce in the adventures the day had brought.

My husband is retiring next month, after thirty years on the force. He has had a great career, and has loved it, but I can tell he is excited to move onto the next chapter of our lives. So, I am planning a great welcome to that chapter. I’m looking into Tahoe vacation rentals, because as soon as his retirement party is over, I want to get in the car, drive to the lake, and spend a few months in our “own” place. I think it will be a great way for us to start out this new chapter in our lives – skiing, boating, and just getting to know each other again.

We were looking for inexpensive options for Melbourne hotels in the Barham area since we have friends living near there we want to visit, and we came across the Barham Country Roads Motor Inn and decided to stay there. It looks like it will be very convenient for where we need to go, and it is within the price range that we can afford to spend. It will be so nice to see a bit of Australia and to see our friends as well. They moved there a few years ago for work and we haven’t seen them since they moved.

Last year I chaperoned a group of students on a class trip to Florida, and we had a great time. The students are part of the math and science club, and we decided to take them to see the coral castle to give them a chance to stretch their imaginations just a bit. They were in awe of how it was rumored to be built, and none of them could come up with a solution to the many mysteries surrounding it. It was an incredible opportunity to be able to see what one amazing man created, and I know that the students will always remember the trip.
