Apteromantis Aptera is a rare species of praying mantis wide spread in mainland of Iberia and now subsist only in Spain. They are first noticed by Fuente in 1894.These mantises are brown or grey or green in colour. One of the interesting facts about praying mantises is that, in China their egg case or ootheca is used for treatment of asthma, bedwetting and warts.
